Joshua Kraly is a multi-instrumentalist, audio engineer, songwriter, and producer based out of Fort Wayne, IN. Beginning as a saxophonist at the age of ten, Josh grew as musician throughout his teen years, eventually playing bassoon, guitar, bass, piano, and drums. As Josh grew as a musician, he began to dream of becoming a one man band. Eventually, he became exactly that.

After finishing high school—where he received the JP Sousa Award for excellence in instrumental music—Josh began writing and recording songs in his bedroom with a Scarlett 2i2 and Ableton Live Lite. Using a 5-track EP recorded exclusively with an SM58 as an audition reel, Josh was admitted to the Multimedia Arts Technology - Music program at Western Michigan University. There, he gained a wealth of knowledge in studio recording, live sound reinforcement, songwriting, composition, mixing, and mastering.

During his collegiate years, Josh worked as a freelance engineer at Western Sound Studios and as a live sound engineer in WMU’s Dalton Recital Hall. Additionally during this time, Josh and two of his classmates began recording music as Imposter Syndrome, establishing themselves in the Michigan indie scene. In his senior year, under the advice of Dr. Carter J. Rice, Josh produced his debut album, Everything I Am, Everything I Should Be. The album was carefully crafted over the latter half of 2024 with the intent of highlighting common challenges surrounding coming-of-age. Making light of issues like mental well-being, platonic and romantic relationships, self-worth, and self-image, the album radiates vulnerability and honesty.

Following his album’s release, Josh graduated from WMU and moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana to start a new chapter of his life. He continues to write music expressing honest truths and is now looking to connect with new musicians. If you’re looking for a mix engineer or a producer for your next project, reach out!
